Curtains Information

    Curtains opened on Broadway on March 22, 2007 after it premiered in Los Angeles in 2006. It tells the story of the murder of the leading actress of a musical called "Robbin' Hood of the Old West" being performed in Boston in 1959, who was killed at the curtain call of opening night. The leading actress could not act, sing, or dance, so the Boston detective called in to investigate the case suspects the entire company. He then sequesters the theater. Two more company members are murdered, with one attempted murder occurring, before the detective is able to solve the case. In the meantime, the company decides to reorganize the musical and the lead detective falls for one of the young actresses, while the investigation goes on. Eventually, two different murderers are discovered by the detective. The original killer turns out to be a theater critic (in love with the same actress the detective has fallen for) and the other is one of the shows producers (who murdered her husband, also a producer).
